WerkDone successfully completed a pilot run (6-10 Dec) of our Vaccination Screening Device at Newton Food Centre. The bustling and Crazy Rich Asians-featured Hawker Centre sees thousands of visitors daily. WerkDone is co-developing a solution with NEA to admit patrons quickly and efficiently.
The latest VDS measures allowing only vaccinated individuals to dine-in at hawker centres. Hawker centres receive a high volume and diversity of patrons at hawker centres. It is therefore tough for staff to differentiate unvaccinated individuals who can enter only for takeaway.
MTF on 20 November 2021: “…groups of up to 5 fully vaccinated persons, regardless of household, will be able to dine in together at F&B establishments from Monday 22 November. This easing will extend to hawker centres and coffeeshops which will have in place access control and checking systems to perform vaccination checks at entry points.”
How it Works
We installed a SafeEntry gantry integrated with our independently developed Vaccination Screening Device. Patrons can choose between scanning their TraceTogether app screens, or TraceTogether Token QR codes to validate their vaccination status.
Once validated, door access is granted and stickers are issued automatically for collection. Unvaccinated individuals can enter for take-away, but not issued a sticker. This allows ambassadors and vendors to easily differentiate dine-in and takeaway patrons. Check out the video below to see the device in action!
With WerkDone’s solution, ushers and ambassadors no longer have to wield individual tablets to validate vaccination statuses. Entry will also be streamlined towards a single entrance, with WerkDone’s equipment admitting up to 15 individuals per minute.
We will run several more pilot runs with NEA at other renowned hawker centres. This includes Adam Road Food Centre and Chomp Chomp. We strive towards a seamless and efficient solution for keeping the community secure in light of new Covid variants. Stay tuned!
